Fashion magazines

1) The typical picture would be of a girl who is either a model or celebrity. They would normally be very attractive and well known. They might also being advertising or endorsing a product or clothing.

2) Low end fashion magazines like 'LOOK' and 'GLAMOUR' would be between £1.60 and £2.60 and high end magazines would be around £3 and £4. some might be a bit more if there is a product attached like a piece of make-up or an accessory.

3) There would be prizes like winning a trip to a sunny country or winning a shopping spree. There might be spa give aways and other beauty treatments.

4) There would be articles about celebrities and their fashion choice. Articles about designers and fashion events. There might also be a bit of gossip in it as well because it is a fashion magazine.

5) The main colours would be white, pink. grey/silver. There is also a tiny bit of orange.

6) the magazine would have between 100 and 250 pagaes.

7)There might be clothing  and accessories  for sale or on sale and other interesting stories.

What makes a great magazine

Things that make a good magazine

  • A Fashion magazine would have a well known model on the front cover, A Race driver or car on a car magazine. Something or someone that relates to the that magazine and would appeal to that audience.
  • The cover would need a  bold and eye catching Name/title. The name of the magazine needs to be catchy or easy to remember.
  • Sub headings/teaser headline to what is in the magazine would be good in attracting people to buy it. The headlines would normally be a bit

The Magazine Unit

We have create a magazine of our own choosing (e.g. car, fashion, sports). It has to be 4 pages long if you are working by yourself but 8 if your are working with a partner. You also have to write 12 pages of planning for front cover design and planning of the magazine and content.  Magazines about Music are not allowed as a unit next year will be music magazines. Any magazine that has content that is inappropriate or rude will not be marked. Any info in the magazine will be written by you and all pictures taken by you as well xx

6) There were well known actors in the website and poster. The website is graphically very good and technical in the way that it is set out and the animations.
7) There are fast cars and guns all over the website and the actors look tired and serious and are wearing military clothing.
8) The target audience would be boys and men who like fast paced action movies with nice cars and shooting as this is shown on the website. the website and posters are grey which is normally aimed at boys

8.) The target audience are people that like comedy movies and are mainly aimed at ladies and this is shown by the female actors in the movie.

What makes a film poster good

For a film poster to be good it needs to:

  • Look professional
  • There should be some text but not too much.
  • The pictures and images on it need to string together well
  • have Age Rating
  • the title needs to be see clearly and stand out. 
  • have the credit block.
